New Survey Highlights Deep Concern Among GPs

A major survey released today shows that current Government plans to overhaul the NHS could be put at risk because GPs, who will be largely expected to implement the reforms, simply do not have the skills required to introduce the changes the Government is pushing for.

The survey, commissioned by management consultancy Kurt Salmon and law firm DMH Stallard LLP, highlights GPs concerns that plans to shut down Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and create Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) made up of GP practices are unworkable without a huge investment in commercial skills training.

Eazipay backs the Great Daffodil Appeal

Sitec strengthens portfolio with Evoco wind turbine

Mortgage Schemes Head For 10,000 Mark

The number of live mortgage schemes available to UK mortgage intermediaries is well on its way to the 10,000 mark according to figures released today from Mortgage Brain’s Monthly Product Analysis.

Over 1,600 products were introduced during January 2011, indicating a 21% increase in product availability to bring the total number of live mortgage schemes listed on its market leading sourcing system to 9,744 (as of 31st January 2011).

The long term analysis from the latest figures now shows that there are 5,287 more products available to mortgage intermediaries than there was this time 12 months ago.

Record Month For Direct Debit Bureau

Eazipay Ltd, a leading Direct Debit processing company, based in Cambridgeshire, has recorded its best month ever for Direct Debit collections during January 2011.

A record £8.9 million worth of Direct Debits were processed on behalf of its clients during January, signalling the company’s busiest month in its nine year history. The announcement comes on the back of the celebrations at the end of December 2010, when the company’s monthly processing levels rose to an all time high of £8.6 million worth of Direct Debit transactions.

Over 200,000 Mortgage Transactions Processed on mte in 2010

Figures released today from the Mortgage Trading Exchange (mte) have shown that 200,663 mortgage transactions (AIPs and Full Applications) were processed via the platform during 2010.

This represents an 8% increase compared to 2009, when 186,413 transactions were processed throughout the year. The first half of 2010 played host to the peak month of the year with March 2010 witnessing the highest point when 20,645 mortgage transactions were processed – the highest monthly figure since February 2008.
